LEOSA Training Extension Act

A BILL

To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide States with limited authority to reduce the frequency with which qualified law enforcement officers must meet firearm training standards in order to be eligible to carry a concealed firearm.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “LEOSA Training Extension Act”.

Sec. 2 Limited authority of States to reduce frequency with which qualified law enforcement officers must meet firearm training standards in order to be eligible to carry a concealed firearm

Section 926C(c)(4) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking “12-month period” and inserting “period of 12 months (or, at the option of the State under the law of which the former agency of the individual operates, such greater number of months, not exceeding 36, as the State may by law provide)”.
