Protect Victims of Crime Act

A BILL

To increase the number of aliens who may be issued visas or otherwise provided status as nonimmigrants under section 101(a)(15)(U) of the Immigration and Nationality Act for a fiscal year, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Protect Victims of Crime Act”.

Sec. 2 Increase in annual visa cap for U-visas

Section 214(p)(2)(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1184(p)(2)(A)) is amended by striking “10,000” and inserting “40,000”.
