Fruit and Vegetable Access for Children Act
A BILL
To amend the fresh fruit and vegetable program under the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to include canned, dried, frozen, or pureed fruits and vegetables.
Sec. 2 Amendments to fruit and vegetable program
Section 19 of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1769a) is amended—
in the section heading, by striking “Fresh”;
in subsection (a), by inserting “, canned, dried, frozen, or pureed” after “fresh”;
in subsection (b), by inserting “, canned, dried, frozen, or pureed” after “fresh”; and
in subsection (e), by inserting “, canned, dried, frozen, or pureed” after “fresh”.
