This Act may be cited as the “Preventing Usurpation Through International Networks Act” or the “PUTIN Act”.
Preventing Usurpation Through International Networks Act
A BILL
To prohibit the use of Federal funds for the establishment or support of a cybersecurity unit with the Russian Federation, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Prohibition on establishment or support of cybersecurity unit with the Russian Federation
No Federal funds may be used to establish or support a cybersecurity unit in which the Government of the Russian Federation, or any individual acting on behalf of such Government, is a participant.
