Medication Therapy Management Empowerment Act of 2015
A BILL
To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to improve access to medication therapy management under part D of the Medicare program.
Sec. 2 Improved access to medication therapy management under part D of the Medicare program
In general— Section 1860D–4(c)(2)(A)(ii)(I) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395w–104(c)(2)(A)(ii)(I)) is amended by inserting “or have a single chronic disease of cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hyperlipidemia, or diabetes” before the semicolon at the end.
Effective date— The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2016.
