Mental Health Reform Act of 2015

To make available needed psychiatric, psychological, and supportive services for individuals with mental illness and families in mental health crisis, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title; table of contents

(a)
Short title— This Act may be cited as the “Mental Health Reform Act of 2015”.
(b)
Table of contents— The table of contents of this Act is as follows:

Sec. 2 Definitions

In this Act:

Assistant Secretary— Except as otherwise specified, the term Assistant Secretary means the Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.
(2)
Evidence-based— The term evidence-based means the conscientious, systematic, explicit, and judicious appraisal and use of external, current, reliable, and valid research findings as the basis for making decisions about the effectiveness and efficacy of a program, intervention, or treatment.
