Wise Investment in our Children Act of 2015
A BILL
To amend the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 to increase the age of eligibility for children to receive benefits under the special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children and to allow States to certify infants for participation in that program for a period of 2 years, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Increase in age of eligibility for the special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children
“(2) “Children” means persons who have had their first birthday but have not yet attained their fifth birthday, except in a case in which a State agency determines that the waiver of that age limit is necessary to accommodate—
“(A) the unique circumstances of an individual child; or
“(B) an individual who is at least 1, and less than 6, years of age.”
“(iv) Infants—A State may elect to certify participant infants for a period of up to 2 years.”
