To authorize funds for Federal-aid highways, highway safety programs, and transit programs, and for other purposes.

(a)

Short title— This Act may be cited as the “Surface Transportation Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2015”.

(b)

In this Act, the following definitions apply:

(1)

Department— The term Department means the Department of Transportation.

(2)

Secretary— The term Secretary means the Secretary of Transportation.

Except as otherwise provided, this Act, including the amendments made by this Act, takes effect on October 1, 2015.
