Hispanic Opportunity Program in Education and Science Act

A BILL

To provide for the establishment of a program by the National Science Foundation to support undergraduate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education at Hispanic-serving institutions.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Hispanic Opportunity Program in Education and Science Act”.

Sec. 2 Establishment of program

Not later than 120 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Director of the National Science Foundation shall establish the program described in section 7033 of the America COMPETES Act (42 U.S.C. 1862o–12) for Hispanic-serving institutions (as defined in section 502 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1101a)).
