1. Improving rehabilitation research at NIH
“(g) The Secretary may establish a working group made up of representatives from various Institutes and Centers, as appropriate, within the National Institutes of Health to update and streamline rehabilitation research priorities at the National Institutes of Health.
“(h) The Secretary may enter into inter-agency agreements relating to the coordination of rehabilitation research conducted by agencies outside of the Department of Health and Human Services.
“(i) For purposes of this section, the term rehabilitation means the science of mechanisms and interventions that prevent, improve, restore or replace lost, underdeveloped, or deteriorating function (defined at the level of impairment, activity, and participation according to the WHO–ICF Model).”
