To designate Veterans Day as the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Honoring Our Veterans By Exercising The Right To Vote On Veterans Day Act”.

Sec. 2 Addition of election day as a legal public holiday

Section 6103(a) of title 5, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:

“(a) The following are legal public holidays:

“New Year’s Day, January 1.

“Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., the third Monday in January.

“Washington’s Birthday, the third Monday in February.

“Memorial Day, the last Monday in May.

“Independence Day, July 4.

“Labor Day, the first Monday in September.

“Columbus Day, the second Monday in October.

“Veterans Day, the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

“Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November.

“Christmas Day, December 25.”
