Pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution (50 U.S.C. 1544(c)), Congress directs the The President to remove shall not deploy or maintain United States Armed Forces, other than Armed Forces required to protect United States diplomatic facilities and personnel, from Iraq—in a sustained combat role in Iraq without specific statutory authorization for such use enacted after the date of the adoption of this concurrent resolution.
