(2) If at the end of fiscal year 2019 the duration of the Advisory Committee has not been extended by statute, the Advisory Committee may be deemed, for purposes of chapter 10 of title 5, an advisory committed1 established by the President or an officer of the Federal Government under section 1008(a) of title 5.

(1) Upon the renewal of an advisory committee, the advisory committee shall file a charter in accordance with section 1008(c) of this title.

(2) An advisory committee established by an Act of Congress shall file a charter in accordance with section 1008(c) of this title upon the expiration of each successive 2-year period following the date of enactment of the Act establishing the advisory committee.

(f) The Advisory Board shall be deemed to have filed a charter for the purpose of section 1008(c) of title 5.

(E) The subcommittee established under subparagraph (A) shall be covered by the exemption to section 1008(c) of title 5 applicable to the Advisory Board under section 3123(f) of this title.

(e) Notwithstanding section 1013(b)(2) of title 5, the Advisory Committee shall not be required to file a charter subsequent to its initial charter, filed under section 1008(c) of title 5, before the termination date specified in subsection (f) of this section.
