§2802. Federal Geographic Data Committee — Inbound Citations

Not later than 30 months after December 26, 2025, the Secretaries, in coordination with the Federal Geographic Data Committee established by section 2802(a) of title 43, shall jointly develop and adopt interagency standards to ensure compatibility and interoperability among applicable Federal databases with respect to the collection and dissemination of geospatial data relating to public outdoor recreational access of Federal waterways and Federal fishing restrictions.

(ii) coordinate with, seek assistance and cooperation of, and provide liaison to the Federal Geographic Data Committee established by section 753(a) of the Geospatial Data Act of 2018 (43 U.S.C. 2802(a)) for the implementation of and compliance with such standards and requirements of that Act as may be applicable to—(I) the cadastre under paragraph (2); and(II) any aspect of the development of the cadastre under paragraph (2);

(2) the term “Committee” means the Federal Geographic Data Committee established under section 2802(a) of this title;

(1) after consultation with the Federal Geographic Data Committee established under section 2802(a) of title 43, create—(A) the Broadband Map, which shall depict—(i) the extent of the availability of broadband internet access service in the United States, without regard to whether that service is fixed broadband internet access service or mobile broadband internet access service, which shall be based on data collected by the Commission from all providers; and(ii) the areas of the United States that remain unserved by providers;(B) a map that depicts the availability of fixed broadband internet access service, which shall be based on data collected by the Commission from providers under subsection (b)(2)(A); and(C) a map that depicts the availability of mobile broadband internet access service, which shall be based on data collected by the Commission from providers under subsection (b)(2)(B);

(4) In reviewing the annual budget justifications submitted by covered agencies, the Office of Management and Budget shall take into consideration the summary and evaluations required under subparagraphs (A) and (B) of section 2802(c)(10) of this title, comments, and replies to comments as required under paragraphs (11) and (12) of section 2802(c) of this title, in its annual evaluation of the budget justification of each covered agency.
