§1400Z–1. Designation — Inbound Citations

(C) a qualified opportunity zone, as that term is defined in section 1400Z–1 of title 26; or

(b) When awarding a covered grant, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development may give additional weight to applicants with proposed activities or projects that are located in or substantially and directly benefit a community designated as a qualified opportunity zone under section 1400Z–1 of title 26.

(II) encourage investment in communities that have been designated as qualified opportunity zones under section 1400Z–1 of title 26; and

(2) will use the covered grant in a qualified opportunity zone (as defined in section 1400Z–1(a) of title 26);
