II National Monument Enhancement Fund

201. Establishment of Fund

(a)
Establishment— There is established in the Treasury a fund, to be known as the “National Monument Enhancement Fund” (referred to in this title as the “Fund”), consisting of such amounts as are appropriated to the Fund under section 202.
(b)
Purposes— The purposes of the Fund are—
(1)
to provide funds to the Bureau of Land Management, the Forest Service, the National Park Service, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration for the development of management plans for national monuments designated under section 320301 of title 54, United States Code;
(2)
to provide funds for the Federal acquisition and development of certain land and other areas; and
(3)
to provide funds to develop and enhance the recreational infrastructure on land designated as a national monument under section 320301 of title 54, United States Code.

202. Authorization of appropriations

There is authorized to be appropriated to the Fund $100,000,000 for fiscal year 2018 and each fiscal year thereafter, to remain available until expended.
