# §8784. Assignment of payments

- (a) **In general—** The provisions of [section 590h(g) of title 16](/usc/16/590h.md?p=g), relating to assignment of payments, shall apply to payments made under this chapter.
- (b) **Notice—** The [producer](/usc/7/8702.md?p=13-A) making the assignment, or the assignee, shall provide the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2) with notice, in such manner as the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2) may require, of any assignment made under this section.
