# §7109. Administrative provisions

- (a) **Construction—** Nothing in this chapter preempts or supersedes any other program relating to [sheep](/usc/7/7102.md?p=26) [promotion](/usc/7/7102.md?p=20), [research](/usc/7/7102.md?p=24), or information organized and operated under the laws of the [United States](/usc/7/7102.md?p=30) or any [State](/usc/7/7102.md?p=28).
- (b) **Amendments to orders—** The provisions of this chapter applicable to an [order](/usc/7/7102.md?p=15) shall be applicable to amendments to the [order](/usc/7/7102.md?p=15), except that the [Secretary](/usc/7/7102.md?p=25) is not required to conduct a referendum on a proposed amendment to an [order](/usc/7/7102.md?p=15).
