# §5941. Purchase of cultures for soil and fertilizer investigations


The [Secretary](/usc/7/5801.md?p=b-6) of Agriculture may purchase from applicable appropriations cultures in the open [market](/usc/7/198.md?p=1) for use in connection with soil and fertilizer investigations.
