# §594. Exemption of minimum quantities


The [Secretary](/usc/7/599.md?p=2) may, by regulation, exempt from compliance with the provisions of this chapter (1) any variety or varieties of [grapes](/usc/7/599.md?p=4) and [plums](/usc/7/599.md?p=5), and (2) the shipment of such minimum quantities of [grapes](/usc/7/599.md?p=4) and [plums](/usc/7/599.md?p=5) to any foreign country as he may prescribe.
