# §3503. Investigative actions


The [Secretary](/usc/7/3508.md?p=5) may take such actions as the [Secretary](/usc/7/3508.md?p=5) considers necessary to monitor compliance with the provisions of this chapter and to determine whether the information contained in any report submitted under [section 3501 of this title](/usc/7/3501.md) accurately and fully reveals the ownership interest of all [foreign persons](/usc/7/3508.md?p=3) in any [foreign person](/usc/7/3508.md?p=3) who is required to submit a report under such section.
