# §3222b–1. Grants to upgrade agriculture and food sciences facilities at the District of Columbia land-grant university

- (a) **Purpose—** It is the intent of Congress to assist the land-grant [university](/usc/7/3103.md?p=4-A) in the District of Columbia established under [section 208](/usc/7/208.md) of the District of Columbia Public Postsecondary [Education](/usc/7/3103.md?p=20) Reorganization Act (Public Law 93–471; 88 Stat. 1428) in efforts to acquire, alter, or repair facilities or relevant equipment necessary for conducting [agricultural research](/usc/7/3103.md?p=2).
- (b) **Authorization of appropriations—** There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $750,000 for each of fiscal years 2008 through 2012.
