# §2482. How issued


A certificate of plant [variety](/usc/7/2401.md?p=a-10) protection shall be issued in the name of the [United States](/usc/7/2401.md?p=a-9) of America under the seal of the Plant [Variety](/usc/7/2401.md?p=a-10) Protection Office, and shall be signed by the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2) or have the signature of the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2) placed thereon, and shall be recorded in the Plant [Variety](/usc/7/2401.md?p=a-10) Protection Office.
