# §248. Commingling of agricultural products

- (a) **In general—** A [warehouse operator](/usc/7/241.md?p=11) may commingle [agricultural products](/usc/7/241.md?p=1) in a manner approved by the [Secretary](/usc/7/241.md?p=9).
- (b) **Liability—** A [warehouse operator](/usc/7/241.md?p=11) shall be severally liable to each depositor or [holder](/usc/7/241.md?p=6) for the care and redelivery of the share of the depositor and [holder](/usc/7/241.md?p=6) of the commingled [agricultural product](/usc/7/241.md?p=1) to the same extent and under the same circumstances as if the [agricultural products](/usc/7/241.md?p=1) had been stored separately.
