# §244. Quality and value standards


If standards for the evaluation or determination of the quality or value of an [agricultural product](/usc/7/241.md?p=1) are not established under another Federal law, the [Secretary](/usc/7/241.md?p=9) may establish standards for the evaluation or determination of the quality or value of the [agricultural product](/usc/7/241.md?p=1) under this chapter.
