# §2009j. Annual report

- (a) **In general—** The [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2), in collaboration with [State](/usc/7/2009.md?p=1), local, public, and private entities, [State](/usc/7/2009.md?p=1) [rural](/usc/7/1991.md?p=a-13-A) development councils, and community-based organizations, shall prepare an annual report that contains evaluations, assessments, and performance outcomes concerning the [rural](/usc/7/1991.md?p=a-13-A) community advancement programs carried out under this subchapter.
- (b) **Submission—** Not later than March 1 of each year, the [Secretary](/usc/7/499a.md?p=b-2) shall—
  - (1) submit the report required by [subsection (a)](#a) to Congress and the chief executives of the [States](/usc/7/2009.md?p=1) participating in the program established under this subchapter; and
  - (2) make the report available to [State](/usc/7/2009.md?p=1) and local participants.
