# §1990a. Refinancing of certain rural hospital debt


Assistance under [section 1926(a) of this title](/usc/7/1926.md?p=a) for a community facility, or under [section 1932 of this title](/usc/7/1932.md), may include the refinancing of a debt obligation of a [rural](/usc/7/1991.md?p=a-13-A) hospital as an eligible loan or loan guarantee purpose if the assistance would help preserve access to a health service in a [rural](/usc/7/1991.md?p=a-13-A) community, meaningfully improve the financial position of the hospital, and otherwise meet the financial feasibility and adequacy of [security](/usc/7/24.md?p=b) requirements of the [Rural](/usc/7/1991.md?p=a-13-A) Development Agency.
