# §136w–5. Minimum requirements for training of maintenance applicators and service technicians


Each [State](/usc/7/136.md?p=aa) may establish minimum requirements for training of [maintenance applicators](/usc/7/136.md?p=jj) and [service technicians](/usc/7/136.md?p=kk). Such training may include instruction in the safe and effective handling and use of [pesticides](/usc/7/136.md?p=u) in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency approved [labeling](/usc/7/136.md?p=p-2), and instruction in integrated [pest](/usc/7/136.md?p=t) management techniques. The authority of the [Administrator](/usc/7/136.md?p=b) with respect to minimum requirements for training of [maintenance applicators](/usc/7/136.md?p=jj) and [service technicians](/usc/7/136.md?p=kk) shall be limited to ensuring that each [State](/usc/7/136.md?p=aa) understands the provisions of this section.
