# §681f. Cyber Incident Reporting Council

- (a) **Responsibility of the Secretary—** The [Secretary](/usc/6/641.md?p=3) shall lead an intergovernmental [Cyber Incident](/usc/6/681.md?p=5) Reporting [Council](/usc/6/681.md?p=2), in consultation with the [Director](/usc/6/650.md?p=10) of the Office of Management and Budget, the Attorney General, the National Cyber [Director](/usc/6/650.md?p=10), [Sector Risk Management Agencies](/usc/6/650.md?p=23), and other appropriate [Federal agencies](/usc/6/677a.md?p=4), to coordinate, deconflict, and harmonize Federal [incident](/usc/6/650.md?p=12) reporting requirements, including those issued through regulations.
- (b) **Rule of construction—** Nothing in [subsection (a)](#a) shall be construed to provide any additional regulatory authority to any [Federal entity](/usc/6/681.md?p=7).
