# §464d. Additional funds for training


In fiscal year 2004 and thereafter, [funds](/usc/6/677a.md?p=5) appropriated in this account shall be available, at the discretion of the [Director](/usc/6/677a.md?p=3), for the following: training [United States](/usc/6/101.md?p=19-A) Postal Service law enforcement [personnel](/usc/6/101.md?p=15) and Postal police officers; [State](/usc/6/101.md?p=17) and [local government](/usc/6/101.md?p=13) law enforcement training on a space-available basis; training of foreign law enforcement officials on a space-available basis with reimbursement of actual costs to this appropriation, except that reimbursement may be waived by the [Secretary](/usc/6/101.md?p=16) for law enforcement training activities in foreign countries undertaken under section 801 of the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 ([28 U.S.C. 509](/usc/28/509.md) note); training of private sector security officials on a space-available basis with reimbursement of actual costs to this appropriation; and travel expenses of non-Federal [personnel](/usc/6/101.md?p=15) to attend course development meetings and training sponsored by the [Center](/usc/6/681.md?p=1).
