# §381. Functions transferred


In accordance with subchapter XII, there shall be transferred to the [Secretary](/usc/6/101.md?p=16) the [functions](/usc/6/101.md?p=9), [personnel](/usc/6/101.md?p=15), [assets](/usc/6/101.md?p=3), and obligations of the [United States](/usc/6/101.md?p=19-A) Secret Service, which shall be maintained as a distinct [entity](/usc/6/301c.md?p=2) within the [Department](/usc/6/101.md?p=5), including the [functions](/usc/6/101.md?p=9) of the [Secretary](/usc/6/101.md?p=16) of the Treasury relating thereto.
