# §346. Consolidation and co-location of offices


Not later than 1 year after November 25, 2002, the [Secretary](/usc/6/101.md?p=16) shall develop and submit to Congress a plan for consolidating and co-locating—

- (1) any [regional offices](/usc/6/311.md?p=10) or field offices of [agencies](/usc/6/311.md?p=2) that are transferred to the [Department](/usc/6/101.md?p=5) under this chapter, if such officers[^1] are located in the same municipality; and
- (2) portions of regional and field offices of other [Federal agencies](/usc/6/677a.md?p=4), to the extent such offices perform [functions](/usc/6/101.md?p=9) that are transferred to the [Secretary](/usc/6/101.md?p=16) under this chapter.
