# §321c. Department and Agency officials

- (a) **Deputy Administrators—** The President may appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, not more than 4 Deputy [Administrators](/usc/6/311.md?p=1) to assist the [Administrator](/usc/6/311.md?p=1) in carrying out this subchapter.
- (b) **United States Fire Administration—** The [Administrator](/usc/6/311.md?p=1) of the [United States](/usc/6/101.md?p=19-A) Fire Administration shall have a rank equivalent to an assistant [secretary](/usc/6/101.md?p=16) of the [Department](/usc/6/101.md?p=5).
