# §305305. General provisions

- (a) **Acceptance of Grants and Transfers.—** The [Center](/usc/54/305301.md?p=2) may accept—
  - (1) grants and donations from private individuals, groups, organizations, corporations, foundations, and other entities; and
  - (2) transfers of funds from other Federal agencies.
- (b) **Contracts and Cooperative Agreements.—** Subject to appropriations, the [Center](/usc/54/305301.md?p=2) may enter into contracts and cooperative agreements with Federal, State, local, and tribal governments, Native Hawaiian organizations, educational institutions, and other public entities to carry out the [Center](/usc/54/305301.md?p=2)’s responsibilities under this chapter.
- (c) **Additional Funds.—** Funds appropriated for the [Center](/usc/54/305301.md?p=2) shall be in addition to funds appropriated for [Service](/usc/54/100102.md?p=4) [programs](/usc/54/308601.md?p=3), [centers](/usc/54/305301.md?p=2), and offices in existence on October 30, 1992.
