# §100501. Areas included in System


The [System](/usc/54/100102.md?p=5) shall include any area of land and water administered by the [Secretary](/usc/54/100102.md?p=3), acting through the [Director](/usc/54/100102.md?p=1), for park, monument, historic, parkway, recreational, or other purposes.
