- (c) **Forms and procedures—**
  - (1) Each [State](/usc/52/20107.md?p=5) shall include a voter registration application form for [elections](/usc/52/20502.md?p=1) for [Federal office](/usc/52/20310.md?p=3) as part of an application for a [State](/usc/52/20107.md?p=5) [motor vehicle driver](/usc/52/20502.md?p=3)’s license.

    - (B) may require only the minimum amount of information necessary to—
      - (i) prevent duplicate voter registrations; and
      - (ii) enable [State](/usc/52/20107.md?p=5) [election](/usc/52/20502.md?p=1) officials to assess the eligibility of the applicant and to administer voter registration and other parts of the [election](/usc/52/20502.md?p=1) process;
