# §20103. Selection of registration facilities

- (a) Each [State](/usc/52/20107.md?p=5) or political subdivision responsible for registration for [Federal elections](/usc/52/20107.md?p=3) shall provide a reasonable number of [accessible](/usc/52/20107.md?p=1) permanent registration facilities.
- (b) [Subsection (a)](#a) does not apply to any [State](/usc/52/20107.md?p=5) that has in effect a system that provides an opportunity for each potential voter to register by mail or at the residence of such voter.
