# §60144. Reimbursement for assistance


The [Administrator](/usc/51/10101.md?p=2), the [Secretary](/usc/51/60101.md?p=11) of Defense, and the heads of other United States Government agencies may provide assistance to [land remote sensing](/usc/51/60101.md?p=4) system operators under the provisions of this chapter. Substantial assistance shall be reimbursed by the operator, except as otherwise provided by law.
