# §3227. Transfer date


In this part, the term “transfer date” means the date on which the [National Intelligence](/usc/50/3003.md?p=5) University is transferred from the Defense [Intelligence](/usc/50/3003.md?p=1) Agency to the Director of [National Intelligence](/usc/50/3003.md?p=5) under [section 3334a(a) of this title](/usc/50/3334a.md?p=a).
