# §8130. Assignment of claim


An assignment of a claim for [compensation](/usc/5/8101.md?p=12) under this subchapter is void. [Compensation](/usc/5/8101.md?p=12) and claims for [compensation](/usc/5/8101.md?p=12) are exempt from claims of creditors.
