# §5734. Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses of employees transferred from the Postal Service


Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, officers and [employees](/usc/5/5701.md?p=2) of the [United States](/usc/5/5721.md?p=6) Postal [Service](/usc/5/8401.md?p=26) promoted or transferred under [section 1006 of title 39](/usc/39/1006.md), United States Code, from the Postal [Service](/usc/5/8401.md?p=26) to an [agency](/usc/5/5701.md?p=1) (as defined in [section 5721 of this title](/usc/5/5721.md)), for permanent duty may be authorized travel, transportation, and relocation expenses and allowances under the same conditions and to the same extent authorized by this subchapter for other transferred [employees](/usc/5/5701.md?p=2) within the meaning of this chapter.
