# §5526. Funds available on reimbursable basis


[Funds](/usc/5/8401.md?p=6) available to an [agency](/usc/5/5521.md?p=1) for payment of [pay](/usc/5/7511.md?p=a-4), allowances, and differentials to or for the [accounts](/usc/5/8401.md?p=1) of [employees](/usc/5/5521.md?p=2) of the [agency](/usc/5/5521.md?p=1) are available on a reimbursable basis for payment of [pay](/usc/5/7511.md?p=a-4), allowances, and differentials to or for the [accounts](/usc/5/8401.md?p=1) of [employees](/usc/5/5521.md?p=2) of another [agency](/usc/5/5521.md?p=1) under this subchapter.

The word “civilian” is omitted as unnecessary in view of the definition of “employee” in section 5521(2), and the fact that military personnel are not “employed”.
