# §4104. Government facilities; use of


An [agency](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1) program for the [training](/usc/5/4101.md?p=4) of [employees](/usc/5/4701.md?p=a-2) by, in, and through [Government facilities](/usc/5/4101.md?p=5) under this chapter shall—

- (1) provide for [training](/usc/5/4101.md?p=4), insofar as practicable, by, in, and through [Government facilities](/usc/5/4101.md?p=5) under the jurisdiction or control of the [agency](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1); and
- (2) provide for the making by the [agency](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1), to the extent necessary and appropriate, of agreements with other [agencies](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1) in any branch of the [Government](/usc/5/4101.md?p=3), on a reimbursable basis when requested by the other [agencies](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1), for—
  - (A) use of [Government facilities](/usc/5/4101.md?p=5) under the jurisdiction or control of the other [agencies](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1) in any branch of the [Government](/usc/5/4101.md?p=3); and
  - (B) extension to [employees](/usc/5/4701.md?p=a-2) of the [agency](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1) of [training](/usc/5/4101.md?p=4) programs of other [agencies](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1).

In paragraph (2), the words “other agencies in any branch of the Government” and “the other agencies” are coextensive with and substituted for “other departments, and with other agencies in any branch of the Government” and “such other departments and agencies”. This is so because “other agencies in any branch of the Government” is broader than “agency” as defined for the purpose of this chapter in section 4101(1).
