# §3404. Personnel ceilings


In administering any personnel ceiling applicable to an [agency](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1) (or unit therein), an [employee](/usc/5/4701.md?p=a-2) employed by such [agency](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1) on a [part-time career employment](/usc/5/3401.md?p=2) basis shall be counted as a fraction which is determined by dividing 40 hours into the average number of hours of such [employee](/usc/5/4701.md?p=a-2)’s regularly scheduled workweek. This section shall become effective on October 1, 1980.
