# §3113. Restriction on reemployment after conviction of certain crimes


An [employee](/usc/5/4701.md?p=a-2) shall be separated from [service](/usc/5/8401.md?p=26) and barred from reemployment in the [Federal service](/usc/5/8521.md?p=a-1), if—

- (1) the [employee](/usc/5/4701.md?p=a-2) is convicted of a violation of [section 201(b) of title 18](/usc/18/201.md?p=b); and
- (2) such violation related to conduct prohibited under [section 1010(a)](/usc/5/1010.md?p=a) of the Controlled Substances Import and Export Act ([21 U.S.C. 960(a)](/usc/21/960.md?p=a)).
