# §2906. Oath; custody


The oath of [office](/usc/5/5402.md?p=3) taken by an individual under [section 3331 of this title](/usc/5/3331.md) shall be delivered by him to, and preserved by, the House of Congress, [agency](/usc/5/3132.md?p=a-1), or [court](/usc/5/8401.md?p=7) to which the [office](/usc/5/5402.md?p=3) pertains.
