# §47130. Airport safety data collection


Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration may award a contract, using sole source or limited source authority, or enter into a cooperative agreement with, or provide a grant from amounts made available under [section 48103](/usc/49/48103.md) to, a private company or entity for the collection of [airport](/usc/49/40102.md?p=a-9) safety data. In the event that a grant is provided under this section, the [United States](/usc/49/40102.md?p=a-46) Government’s share of the cost of the data collection shall be 100 percent.
