# §44708. Inspecting and rating air navigation facilities


The Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration may inspect, classify, and rate an [air navigation facility](/usc/49/40102.md?p=a-4) available for the use of [civil aircraft](/usc/49/40102.md?p=a-16) on the suitability of the facility for that use.
