# §14913. Conclusiveness of rates in certain prosecutions


When a [carrier](/usc/49/13102.md?p=3) publishes or files a particular [rate](/usc/49/10102.md?p=7) under [section 13702](/usc/49/13702.md) or participates in such a [rate](/usc/49/10102.md?p=7), the published or filed [rate](/usc/49/10102.md?p=7) is conclusive proof against that [carrier](/usc/49/13102.md?p=3), its officers, and agents that it is the legal [rate](/usc/49/10102.md?p=7) for that [transportation](/usc/49/10102.md?p=9) or service in a proceeding begun under section [14902](/usc/49/14902.md) or 14903. A departure, or offer to depart, from that published or filed [rate](/usc/49/10102.md?p=7) is a violation of those sections.
