# §14703. Enforcement by the Attorney General


The Attorney General may, and on request of either the [Secretary](/usc/49/13102.md?p=20) or the [Board](/usc/49/10102.md?p=1) shall, bring court proceedings—

- (1) to enforce this part or a regulation or order of the [Secretary](/usc/49/13102.md?p=20) or [Board](/usc/49/10102.md?p=1) or terms of registration under this part; and
- (2) to prosecute a [person](/usc/49/13102.md?p=18) violating this part or a regulation or order of the [Secretary](/usc/49/13102.md?p=20) or [Board](/usc/49/10102.md?p=1) or term of registration under this part.
